Anybody had success with this?
So far I've done my receiver and hand guard.

I'd really like to do my Magpul PRS to match.
I know just buy one already in FDE, I got a.goodndeal on a black one and it is what it is.

So does alumahyde work well on polymers? And how will putting it in the oven to cure work? I'm assuming 190 isn't hot enough to do anything to the plastic.

It works fine. I have never went over 180* on anything plastic.

I've used it on Magpul stocks and pistol grips. Works well, but, like any coating, you can expect to touch it up later.

It is safe to go up to 225 degrees F for most polymers without damaging the material or changing the microstructure. So yes 180 -200 degrees is fine.
