Is is durable?

Shiny?

Does it last?

Does the gun need to be a certain base color before dipping? I am looking at the grey/black Kryptek Typhon design.

Does it need to be sealed with a matte (dull clear) over coat after dipping?

Is is durable?  depends on quality of the material and the craftsmanship of the person doing the job

Shiny?  not really. its basically just a plastic wrap

Does it last?  yes, see first response

I tried this myself one time and really screwed the pooch. spent more money ordering material because I couldn't get it right. if you plan on doin it yourself I would order a bunch of material and practice on small random things first. there is more to it than just dipping

It's not terribly durably, will be fine for a well maintained and cared for gun but if you like to use and abuse your rifles it will chip, peel and run off especially in high wear areas like the grip, Hand guard and stock.
