Good evening. I hope this is the correct forum to post this question, but I've been looking for someone local (Minnesota) who can do Duracoating of my build and the accompanying components, Trijcon, bi-pod, P-Mags and such. I couldn't find anyone here but I did find a couple of sites that look promising but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of either or can recommend someone they've done business with.

I've done it myself a few times and am very surprised at how much fun and easy it is.  





It cost me less to buy a combo compressor/airbrush kit ($120 on ebay) and the Duracoat then for someone else to do it.  Just make sure its a half decent airbrush with a bottle on the bottom (you cant spray upwards with the gravity feed tank on top.





Prep is everything.  Make sure you use a break cleaner that does not have silicon and that you get the cleaner/reducer from duracoat to clean the airbrush afterwords.  You basically apply 2-3 thin coats and the finish is amazing and it dries to the touch in minutes.

I'm about to try a Geissele MkII rail with preval sprayer and Rhodesian Tan I'll let you know if I can find this thread after it gets moved to Armory, Refinishing BTW the Houts site purchase still shipped from Lauer, so cut out the middleman.

I have used Harsh Firearms in Norman OK, I know they are not local but he does excellent work. Good Luck!

They do both hydro and cerakote. Usually in a fairly quick turn around time too.

Yeah, I see they have some really nice patters too... I'll have to give them a call.
