Increased hardener in the mix. It's how you control the level of gloss, or lackthereof.

Did the 229 in burnt bronze, but didn't like it as much as I thought I would. OD green looks nice on it, now to do the controls in graphite black, but not sure if I should leave the slide alone, do it black, or OD as well.

I would really appreciate that. I have been wondering what the contrast between the 2 were.

Very nice!

Does anyone know the Duracoat color that would be very similar to tungstren grey? There are quite a few different grey choices.

Magpul FDE Cerakote on my 870. Just recently got my 870 bolt back from WMD and I love the look of the NiBX contrasted with the Cerakote.

Tactical Grey with a little bit of Graphite Black mixed in to darken it slightly, came out real nice little bit less metal flake appearance than tungsten.

I decided to Cerakote my M&P 45, but I wanted something a little different.  I decided to mix some colors to come up with as close to a match as possible with Ranger Green.  I like Ranger Green colored pouches and gear, but have never really seen a lot of Ranger Green on weapons themselves.  I mixed FDE, OD Green, and Sniper Grey to come up with the color.  I think it ended up a pretty close match.  Here is a pic of the slide and frame next to a Ranger Green pack.  I haven't reassembled it yet.

Can you give any more details on this mix? That looks so very close to a good match for SAN Sig (Swiss Sig Grey, IAFLON is the actual name of their coating, IIRC).  Might need the tiniest touch of green.

Most un-Tapco fucked too, I must say.

What are the details on your build.
I want my Romy G to look like that.

I did the receivers and handguard at home. The handguard is a two piece design so I was able to get into some of the tighter areas with my mini HVLP.

My first time applying Cerakote.  I painted my entire p226, but I'm waiting to rebuild the lower until my SRT kit arrives.  I was just testing the upper with my other P226 frame; I had to do some sanding to get the barrel to lock-up properly after painting. I think I went a little to thick on the application, or the tolerances on Sig's are really tight.

Did HSP ever release the mixture for their coating of disruptive grey? I'm slowly assembling parts for a hybrid Jack/M27 IAR rifle I'm working up. If not, whats the closest mix anyone's every gotten to? Thanks.

I have a 226 in the oven right now thats almost the opposite of yours. BB frame, graphite black slide and small parts, and the owner still doesnt know what color he wants the grips.
