cleaned it good and shot it with yellow engine paint

a touch discolored around the front sight, but otherwise OK so far.

krylon, I wiped it down but didnt even bother really cleaning it.
My FF covers it so I dont know how well its holding up, but after
a couple hundred rounds I can't see any shiny metal

I shaved my FSB down to make it a lo pro gas block, since I was spraying the gas block I just hit the tube too.

I have a yhm ff tube which makes the gas tube very visable so i wanted to paint up the gas tube.

That makes sense I guess. Probably help to rough it up a bit with some emery paper before spraying, but since it is subject to exactly zero wear, I wouldn't be afraid to hit it with some black hi-temp BBQ paint, personally.
