Do use the hell out of it
Do avoid prolonged unnecessary exposure to bright lights (cars, street lights, indoor lighting, bright flash lights)
Do seek out training to milk the most amount of capability out of your system and understand what its doing in varying environmental conditions
Do take the battery out during long periods of storage
Do think about lanyarding your unit to your helmet if doing serious or risky work

Do not mount it on a heavy recoiling weapon anything above a 5.56mm
Do not shine lasers into your NV when powered
Do not use cheap rechargeable batteries in your unit
Do not use solvents on your lenses to clean them (use cat crap anti fog compound)
Do not worry about exposure to rain or water
