No, a PVS-7 requires a 10130 format tube. Only used in a PVS-7 and a couple of rifle scopes and binoculars.

There are multiple failure points on a -7 but the 2 that come to mind is the bayonet insert that is built into the body, break that and you're screwed and will never helmet mount them again unless you JB weld the bejesus out of it and it'll look like hell. the collimated mirror is another failure point I have seen in the past, knock it out of place and you are pretty much non mission capable until its fixed. I normally recommend folks steer away from -7's unless you find a decent unit for under $1000. |

Bayonet lug can break but if it does buy a 32.00 Wilcox Dovetail shoe and use it in any dovetail lowering arm. Unless the kit is super cheap most used Gen3 AG PVS7 sell for 900-1,300 used. NOS tubes run for 800-1,300. Either way it's a great unit for the money still in use by Mil and LE all over the world.

thanks for the replies everyone. Due to my crappy internet over here I missed out on a sub $400 parts set. I don't have a 10130 tube but I'm sure I could have found one.
oh well. guess I will keep looking for a cheap PVS-14 kit or maybe a MUM-14 |
