Oh, yea at least on my Samsung Galaxy line. Even in the olden days using my digi camera, Gen 2 always filmed through the tube much better. Better at times where I hated doing side by side vs. Gen 3 because some of our customers thought the Gen 2 had better tubes!
Fought that issue for several years.
Most cell phone cameras have a hard time processing high tube light at night. Throw an IR illuminator into the mix, things can then get really whacky. Yea I know some play with the shutter, ISO's., etc. but I find when I doctored with the camera settings you start guessing what the tube is really seeing vs. your eye. Many here have taken a lot better pics than me over the last 15 years or so...
