To use a battery pack, do you have to use the ANVIS ball mount? Or can you use the dovetail?

On my small sample size of 1, the ANVIS mount was super damn picky.  I was using a Adams Industries Surface ANVIS mount.  If I moved my head too quick the ball would move in the mount and the power would flicker.  Anything that would slightly move the goggle would make the power flicker.  Very annoying.  I went back to the dovetail.
