Let's just say that i wanted to get something to play with. nothing that my life is going to depend on. However, I would like to experiment with night shooting, and would like it not to blind me when i fire my weapon. what would i want to look at?

Russian D series gen2 perhaps? A good illuminator (Vic's torch) will help greatly.
