Please take a look at my ads on our Equipment Exhange here. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=23&t=375993  Here you will find the answers to your questions with through the tube pics as well.  I fond the only real difference is the edge to edge sharpness of the GT units is not quite as sharp as a MUM or PVS-14.  But for the cost savings, it's quite a good buy.  The weapon mount for the GT unit is same as the MUM uses, and they are metal.  Hope this helps.
