There have been several threads in the past; here is a chance to consolidate current concepts for the topic.

Ballistic rig on the left, scout rig on the right.  The plates are both bolted down to keep from changing position, with the top strap minimizing stress on that joint, as well as providing a very convenient place to ty-rap the Guardians.

The MSA rig is balanced on a styrofoam mannequin head with the PVS both up and down; it is like that on a real head as well.

Edited to add a couple shots with the CSM bracket:

Updated with the do rag replacement pic.

Latest mods...some paint and an M600C/KM2:

Do you have any details on this setup or a link where I can read more about it? I'm a poor too, but I'd like to do a "dual tube" Sionyx setup some day. Especially something I can mount to a helmet. I just don't know the first thing about rigging up something like that. Are there ready-made mounts for these things?

These are my low speed high drag helmets, I'm setting up the one on the right for NV use.  Does anyone have any ideas how to setup a NV lanyard for a DTNVG setup? I don't have an issued helmet cover so I have to think outside the box a little.

I was thinking of getting a helmet bridge and maybe a CAC/ID card style lanyard?

I have the TREXArms lanyard. I like it. I need to snag a few others (or something similar) for my other helmets/NODs.

i dont.  i could be wrong, but it seems like an excessive amount of weight on your head for a slight area of coverage.

Having never used this, I can't imagine wanting to put extra weight on that particular part of my body, especially when already running night vision there.  More likely to end up with spinal compressions than you are to take a .308 direct to the forehead.  But that's just my imagination's opinion.

Anyone have a TW 2.0 Black Rail Kit laying around from using the 3.0 Retrofit kit, or would like to trade for a 3.0? PM me and we can go through EE

Rather not a new helmet to get what I want and don't need the built in rails the 3.0 offers

Kind of low budget compared to some on here but it works just fine.  Dropped the strobe because it really seems to spook the coyotes (makes them uneasy at least).  Really dig'n the NV and thermal combo.

I'd be interested in one of those armor plates for the back of a helmet so it could double as a counterweight. I dont need another gram on the front!

Unfortunately I was born on the wrong side of the sea.. in EU (Slovenia) and not in US. So it's really hard and kinda expensive here to get all the cool stuff you guys can play with overseas. This is budget setup what I managed to get so far. Fun fact: Trump's wife Melania is from Slovenia

- Team Wendy Bump Helmet in Coyote
- Agilite MultiCam cover for Team Wendy
- Wilcox J-Arm
- Wilcox G24 in tan
- 3M Peltor ComTac XPI (this is EU version of ComTac III with some upgrades)
- Team Wendy Peltor Quick Release Adapters
- PVS-14 in VyperC housing with L3 unfilmed white phosphor tube. It's really clean tube no blems. Don't have data sheet, but I was told SNR is 35)
- Slovenian IR flag patches

Next thing on shopping list is IR strobe.. e.g. CORE SURVIVAL HEL-STAR

That’s a great NV spot. I have some NV footage of a helo landing there one night I was randomly up there.
