There have been several threads in the past; here is a chance to consolidate current concepts for the topic.

Ballistic rig on the left, scout rig on the right.  The plates are both bolted down to keep from changing position, with the top strap minimizing stress on that joint, as well as providing a very convenient place to ty-rap the Guardians.

The MSA rig is balanced on a styrofoam mannequin head with the PVS both up and down; it is like that on a real head as well.

Edited to add a couple shots with the CSM bracket:

Updated with the do rag replacement pic.

Hey Augee or whomever, my old man wants me to put together a nice helmet for him "just like mine".  I've got just about everything done but am hung up on helmet cover.  I don't really want to buy TW new and have thus far managed to get all the TW stuff on the used market since they decided to be dick heads.

Is anybody else making a cover that fits the LTP? If I can't find a used LTP cover in the next couple of weeks I'm going to have to figure something else out.

Helmet cover: ??  Need to figure this one out
CW:  Going to order a mohawk
Lanyard:  Going to order the wilcox one with velcro straps
LTP:  Done
G-11:  Done
TW Peltor adapter:  Done
Peltors:  Done
Comms cables to hook everything up:  Done

Cool, I'll check them out tomorrow.

Now he's got me wanting a mohawk too even though I'm happy with my current setup.  Can't be letting him have nicer gear than me.

RQE bridge with dovetail adapters for FLIR Breach and 14

Rock solid and light. Articulates up to rotate one or the other out of the way. Really nice piece of gear

Damn!  I've been thinking about helmet mounting a Breach.  Looks like I just need to budget $2k for the Breach, and another $2k for the bridge and shoes

Lol. Stuff gets expensive fast. Look around for deals on the EE or Tacswap. I saved quite a bit that way.

ETA:  mod armory has a nice looking bridge for decent money. I was going that route before I got a deal on RQE

I'm borderline considering the Breach as my go-to handheld to do this but with a D14. How's the Breach eye relief-wise, etc. Haven't used one. Do you need to get up closer on the eyepiece then the -14?

Be a while till it changes, so I'll play. First helmet, 2019 made Ops-Core bump. Maybe later in the year go Wilcox G24 and get better ears, perhaps next year duals. Rhinos aren't great, but I could live with em.

Some guys with more time on the bridged set up may chime in, but the eye box seems generous to me so far. I don’t need any adjustment between BREACH and -14, provided I manipulate the G24 properly.  I can close each eye alternately and gain a sight picture without issue.

To caveat, though: I haven’t run the setup really hard yet, so I could be off base.

You're off to a great start with solid gear. The Rhino works great, can be used as a loaner latter and the bump can easily be upgraded. My only suggestion is to install a lanyard on your rig to keep from accidentally hitting the release and your 14 hitting the deck.

I put blue locktight on all the screws on my MARK. I ended up putting a sliced piece of electrical tap under the plate between the mount and the ARC rail to snug it up perfect. Don’t know if it’s just my rails but it seemed a bit loose even with those two set screws as tight as I could get them.

It works quite well. I use mine for hunting quite a bit while we ride around in a mule and it's been great for rapid scanning on the move. I also use it from my static blind when I don't want to hoist the rifle to scan

Below is my latest setup. I'm big into once issued stuff so it has a milsurp MS2000, mount, and patches. The carbon bump helmet came out of Ft. Bragg and the Comtacs from a guy who used them in Syria for a few years. I put a bunch of 4D pads in it to make it quite comfy and right now I'm looking through a gen 3 ATN NVM-14. It looks kind of bare on the back but haven't found anything I "need" back there.

Yep little warmer/dryer as others mentioned, I've also always liked IFF/glint tape on helmets and the standard 2" variety falls perfectly over all the holes.

I know it's expensive, but hell, EVERYTHING is expensive when it comes NV and the related gear. (really, $500 for a damn aluminum Wilcox mount?  There ain't THAT much R&D in the thing.)  I figured that I've gone this far into it, why not go all out?

-Ops Core Fast Maritime
-Wilcox G24
-Pvs14 on wilcox J Arm
-S&S Manta Strobe
-TNVC Mowhawk with mowhawk cut off
-Peltor dual comms

Hey guys I’m new to Night Vision here, and for the fellas that’s running the Wilcox L4 G24 and a Wilcox J-Arm (NON Auto On/Off) Is the Back portion of the Arm suppose to sit on top of the Ocular Locking Ring/Collar or Sits in Front.. Because the Wilcox J-Arm sits on top when I try to Center it when tightening it down.. If I let it sit in front of the Locking Collar the J-Arm is Crooked.. Here’s a few photos..
