EWWW I ALMOST wanna try one just to see what a $100.00 night vision device looks like? If I had to guess I would say that it is proably on par with the Sony Night shot setting on the average camcorder.

check ebay for a Zenit NV100, its typically about $50 and far better for playing around with if you just want a crappy gen 1 for tooling around
