i figure im spending over 3k for one... soo whats the average life of these things?? do they have a fixed life like trijicon nite sights or do the tubes last indefinitely?

anything else i should know?? i plan on putting this on an ar15 with an eotech and the larue eotech mount.

I have never seen a tube die of old age before. I ran across a set of no kidding OMNI 2 tubes form the early 1990s once that were just fine. the image was green as can be and they were 45 LPM tubes but they were still kicking. What generally dies on any tube is the power supply. There are people and companies out there that routinely replace power supplies and repot the tubes just fine. American made gen 3 NVDs are some extemly resiliant devices.
