I have been pending since August 14th and still pending while a friend of mine has been pending on some forms since the middle of July and nothing yet.  This seriously friggin sucks and officially my longest wait yet even compared to my previous 8 taxstamps...my last form for a serbu SS took 12 weeks door to door...we'll see how many months this current one racks up.

Submitted  5/1/09
Pending 7/8 for SBR on Form 1
Error letter 10/17- no abbreviations on the marking and no "multi" caliber.
will send revised Form 1 on 10-19
FYI: Don't abbreviate for the engraving and use the original caliber and bbl length for the initial build.  Changing an upper is not an issue with an approved Form 1 because it's not a permanent modification
I'll post when I get it back

I'll have to see the date stamps on the Form 4 to believe that.

If he'll let me copy his form, then I'l post it; otherwise, I'm about to mail in my own forms in the next few weeks and we'll see what happens...

Thats the only part that does not make sense, but other transfers have occured in <8 days when the ATF's training new examiners, they grab the top handful of forms off the incoming pile and show every step the form follows as it works its way through the process. But that time frame for an individual transfer with prints? Not as likely.

Don't foget there could be other circumstance.  I had one like that (although not quite that fast) b/c she caught an incoming one just as she was completing one I had sent before, stamped them both and mailed them back together so the second one looked untimely fast, but there was no need to wait on any other returned information since she already had that on her desk.

Took me two months to get my damn check cashed!!

Mailed second week of August and finally cashed on 10/14/09.  I griped to my Class III a few times and they just kept saying give it time.  I called the ATF myself mid September to see what was up and some guy told me to wait two weeks and resubmit.  So two weeks later I went back to my Class III to do that and they said, "Let us call and see if we can get something done..."  Check was cashed two days later.  Evidently it was sitting on someone's desk.

I can't remember who they said my examiner was but they liked him.  Mclain, McClellan...something like that.
