Hi, I have a Spike's AR pistol (5.56) and have been looking into putting a stock on it. I read the sticky about filling out the Form 1. I found out from my local FFL that the chief LEO in my area signs off fairly easily on such stuff so I decided I want to go all out and go full auto, and possibly a silencer.
My question(s) are what order should I go about doing this. Should I take it one step at a time i.e. (getting signed off \ paper work competed for stock, then move on to full auto, slinecer). Or can I do this all in one shot and take all the paperwork at one time to the LEO? I need to do some more reading on what's required for full auto conversion as far as paperwork. I know a Form 4(?) is required correct?
If someone experienced in this can lay out the best/easiest way or order I should do this I'd appreciate it.
Thank You.
Short of an FFL/SOT, the only way to convert that lower to F/A is to but a conversion device, such as a Auto-Connector or Drop-In-Sear. Suggest you find one of those.
The silencer can be done simultaneously and independently so you might as well work on finding that too.
Expect to pay $10K-$15K when all is done.
