Im a employee of a 07FFL 02SOT. Is it legal for me to have possesion of a machinegun out side of shop property if its for testing or demostration use at the range.  Say if we just build or repair a M16 and need to test fire it. Our shop is located in the middle of a city so we would have to go off site to test fire.
My employer was going to look into it but I figured I would investigate it myself as well.

I would suggest you get listed on his license as a responsible person. Short of that I would talk to your local ATF inspector and get a reccomendation from how they want it done.
