Well, that is what I though at first but "LBR 002xxx" is the serial number.
Consider this: if my serial number were 002345 there could exist NO OTHER firearm with the same serial number per BATF rules and regs. Hence, a unique serial number would be LBR 002345.
So, I am still here without a model to enter on my form 1.

Well, the only place that "SP1" appears on a Colt SP1 receiver is as part of the serial number....
BTW, historically most manufacturers did not use prefixes until the last few decades. Instead, BATF requires that a manufacturer cannot use the same serial number for two examples
of the same model. For instance, Colt used the serial number 19103 (no prefix or suffix) on a Colt 1903, a Colt 1911, a Colt Woodsman and probably several other Colts. Since they both exist, you could SBR Colt 1911 SN 19103 and also SBR Colt Woodsman SN 19103.
BTW, you may be over-thinking this issue. There is no reason why LBR cannot be
both the model number and part of the serial number.
