I am looking for pics of the Masterkey, both mounted and alone.

Also, is it a DD, SBS, or AOW?  My thought is SBS.

Thanks in advance.

My guess is going to be SBS. It dosent really fit under any other definition.

Sorry to hijack...

Are breeching rounds legal in any state? What are they classified as?

They are just shotgun ammo w/ powdered lead inside a cup/capsule.  No special legal classification.

get it?  a shotgun shell that fires lead.

You can buy them all over the place.  sportsmansguide used to have them.

Man that thing has got to be nose heavy.

A M203 is bad enough, I would hate to patrol with that daddy. IMHO a 870 or 590 with a PG on a sling would be MUCH better. You would have a larger ammo capacity and have a complete standalone backup to your primary weapon while only weighing a little more than the combined M4/Masterkey setup.

"Masterkey" is the proprietary name for KAC's product. The actual KAC Masterkey is registered as an SBS as it started as a complete shotgun and is intended to be mounted to an AR host rifle.  Creating the Masterkey as an AOW woulld be possible and initially cheaper to transfer, but would make it complicated and more expensive later as it would have to be re-registered as an SBS before it could be used as intended.

Wow that is WAY too much money for that thing.  I hadn't had time to price but I was figuring on about $700-$800 before stamp/transfer...  a Lewis M203 costs less.

Thanks for the replies!
