Opportunities like this don't come very often.  No Guilt, no where did that new toy come from.

I realize that there are federal taxes and the Class III forms that have to be processed.

I have a 20" AR10 with a smith Vortex FS.  Who offers 308 cans and about how much?

What level of suppression can I expect?

I don't expect "Hollywood Quiet" type of suppression but what is realistic.

Am I better off with a can threaded on or one of the quick detachable ones?

Get on the AAC website,-Advanced Armament Corp...they have suppressors for AR10.
Very highly rated, probably as quite as you can get.

SureFire is now making a 7.62 can.  Should be nice, and cost as much as the rifle.

Just picked mine up from my C3 about 2 hours ago. Can't wait to give it a test drive.

Gemtech is a great company. They are fixing my adapter for the trinity at no charge.
Their new literature does not have 7.62 or 308 listed as suppressed, but give them a call first, definately get their suppressor. AAC would be next, they have the suppressor listed for 7.62 or 308.

AAC- 1-770-925-9988

Gemtech-  1-208-939-7222

Yes, the HVT is for .30 cal, and 338 in Heavy model. Give Gemtech a call for production run, they do them at different times.
My mistake on previous post, they do have the HVT listed in their new literature.
Call them for availability.

SWR has the Omega30.  I have shot them before on both the SR25 and threw it on my LR308.  Unbelievable.  Damn quiet too, was quieter than the KAC we were running that same day.  Sounded about as loud as a unuppressed 22lr from a 10/22 rifle!  SWEET!  It is my next personal acquisition, when funds and patience allows for it.

Well, if you get one for .338 you don't have to worry about .308 ever hurting it!
By the way, my wife won't shoot anything unless there is a can screwed on the end of it, that was the primary reason for a HALO.
