I have an old Cobray .22 cal suppressor and I would like to put it on my Walther P22. I bought an adapter but the thread size is wrong.  The adapter has a much finer thread than the  suppressor. Does anyone know where I can get an adapter with a coarser thread ?

find out the thread pitch of the cobray suppressor first.

i think you need to take the can and the gun to a class III gunsmith and let them "turn" you an adaptor out of stainless round stock.
he may want $30-50 to do it.

I was hoping to be able to find an adapter commercially available and not have to have one custom made

Check with Mark at TROS.  <-- Clicky on that.

If he doesn't have the proper adapter in stock, he can make you one.

A trip to the local hardware store & I now know that the thread is 7/16 x 14.   I see that TROS doesn't make one that size, so I'll call him & see about a custom job.
Thanks for all the responses

+1  I've heard nothing but good things about TROS.  He'll make anything you need, but you will probably need to find out what type of threads the can has first.

I called TROS and he didn't have what I needed in stock

But, he said he'd make one and I'd have it in a couple weeks

I  sent the $$ and I had it in a couple days !

The fit is perfect and the finish is excellent, it's a quality piece of work.

THANKS TROS !
