Gandermountain.com = $249

They "just" changed the pricing to $299.99.  I went to gandermountain.com, searched, and found the $249.99 price listed with that function...Then when added to the cart it was $299.99.  Tried calling but they would not honor, said it had changed to $299.99 and were previously on sale.

Sorry ...  Bought one last year from them for $299. It is a real shooter !

They're still priced right at $299.  CS said he sold 2 earlier in the week for $249.99, but memo came down.  Either a pricing error or they changed it back.  I just need another like I need a hole in the head.  The $50 is hanging me up.  

Do they ship to 03 ffl?

Didn't ask.  I've done an in-store deal once with them that required a lot of "Manager" questions from the rep to release it that day to FFL 03.  They finally honored it but took a while.  Not sure if they'll actually ship to one, haven't asked.

They do ship to 03ffl.  Just ordered one.  $25 for shipping.  They only had 33 left when I called.  Price was $299.

Impossible!  They had 33 left when I called, too, and that was before I went and ordered 1!  I chose to just ship it in-store for free, local one not far from here.  Plus, I'll open it up in-store and if it's a reject I'll deny shipment for a refund which is a lot easier than telling the UPS guy to hold on while I open this box and look over the contents...

Unfortunately no Gander Mountains in NV so I have to ship.  At least there isn't any sales tax.  Crossing my fingers that it is going to be in good shape.   Does anyone have one from them yet?  Curious to see or hear about the condition of this batch rifles.

P.W. Arms usually has "better crop" than some of the other importers.  Chances are good you'll be happy with what you get, but expect usual finish wear.  The Swiss are known for keeping rather good care of their firearms in general, but if you get a beech sometimes the butt of the stock will show just how many times they were kicked with ice cleats up on some snowy mountain.  It's a milsurp purchased sight unseen.  Kind of like opening a Cracker Jack box and seeing what prize you get inside.  Sometimes it's a temporary tattoo, other times it's a diamond ring!

Well I couldn't resist, I already have 1 K31 and haven't even put 50 rounds through it with ammo being hard to find right now. But I have a feeling we won't be seeing them any cheaper than this in the future, and these rifles are too nice of shooters to pass up.

Ditto on the importer P.W. Arms.  Best looking K31's I saw last year were imported by P.W. and sold at Gander Mtn, I picked one up at $299 a year ago.  $249 has me thinking....

Considering Simpson once had a plethora of K31s marked at this price point or above in the 70% category that have since vanished (along with the rest of the K31s they offered)...and these will likely be of similar quality with the possibility of getting a real gem slightly under what many would consider market for a Swiss K31 present day...the $299 sticker doesn't create all that big of shock.  I'm late into the C&R game, though, having only had it a couple of years.  Caught the tail of $89 Mosin's, but missed out on the days of yore where tales of $79 for 3 rifles, get 1 free are told.  

What I'm trying to say is: JOIN US AT THE CASINO.

K31 $299 Gander Mtn

Looked at mine in store. Ho'd and hummed because the stock was not exactly a looker. The beech stock had a 3-4mm chip on left of wrist and was used and abused, but the bluing was excellent and it was a numbers match. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a classic. They had 3 others in store that I looked over. All marked $249 which was the price I paid. Of the three, there was one walnut. Unfortunately the bluing on this one was rough. Looked like the top of the receiver took a dive off the Alps. The two beech, the one had a cool tiger stripe effect, but if memory serves the stamp on the receiver was very light and the magazine was a mismatch. The second beech had a 3" crack along the left side of stock slightly below the wrist. Of the 4,mine was best in class overall. They were willing to accept my FFL, but still had to do a background check...which was delayed, of course. So no pics yet. For $250 and tax it's a solid deal. I did not take off the buttplate to look for a tag. Hope for a surprise at home. All come with slings at this location as did my own.
