I've just never been a big fan of mosins so what other choices are there in the C&R world that are inexpensive to buy and shoot? It has to be a bolt gun, maybe a K98 or VZ24

This!

Also, Turk Mausers are probably even cheaper and just as fun. Don't let the "Turk" name scare you. Most of the ones that I've seen are German/Czech built and very nice rifles. The one I currently have happens to be Czech and is a very accurate/smooth rifle.

Yeah, Mauser.

You might look at the RC K98s, too.

Have any links for any of this stuff? I normally order from aim but I'm sure that there's more out there than that.

Thanks for the help!

My 24/47 looked to be unfired when I bought it and it shoots great.  Heck of a deal for a accurate, powerful, and cheap shooter.

Hmmm...

AIM vz24 VG/Excellent for 210 + shipping

Classic Arms M24 excellent for $200 + shipping

Samco M24 excellent for $180 + shipping

Which do you think is the best deal & value for the money?  My current goal is to have an example of all the major WW2 European theater rifles, and have ones that are shooters first, lookers second.  AIM has always been fantastic to deal with, but I've never dealt with the other two companies.  Between Samco & Classic arms excellents condition mausers, which do you think will be nicer?  What about the classic arms special select for $160?
