Has any one seen one of these done?
Just a little blasphamas but its not like these are really rare and in demand.

Can it be done?

They are fakes, nothing more.  The only true Jungle Carbines were No.5's made for that purpose.

The Gibbs Rifle Company made "Jungle Carbines" out of the Indian 2A rifles several years back. I have not heard much either way about them but you can look them up and research them yourself.

Personally, when I decided I wanted a handy little carbine in 7.62x51 I went with a Spanish FR8. It is about the same size and the only thing it might give away to the shortened 2A's is magazine capacity. My FR8 is a tack driver that shoots 3inch groups at 100 yards with SA surplus and my suspect eyes at the iron sights.
