My only experience with them was several years ago, I placed an order for a case of 7.62x39. After two weeks of waiting for for shipment, I called back and they told me that they didn't have any in stock.
They didn't tell me this when I ordered. Thats the last time I called.  |

I haven't got my C&R yet, so I haven't dealt with them, but from what I've heard from here and the CMP forum, they are very accurate with their descriptions, and have good customer service. If they have any K98's left when I receive my C&R I'm getting one.

I've ordered from them once. I can't recall the shipping costs, but I'm pretty sure they weren't excessive, or it would have left a bad taste in my mouth.
The general consensus on Classic is that they accurately grade, have good prices and are generally good folk to deal with. I'd recommend them. www.gunboards.com is where they are a sponsor, and the reviews over there are pretty common and quite good. |

I have bought accessories from Classic Arms, and I would have no problem buying anything from them in the future. They're shipping rates were about actual cost (on my order)- they ship UPS. Good folks to deal with!

I bought my K98 from them. It was as described, shipping was fast, and they didn't charge much for the shipping.

Ben and his wife are great people to deal with. Got around 8-10 rifles and loads of ammo from them over the years. They're VERY close to me. Next state over, a little over 8 hours away. The last rifle I ordered was here the next day. $12 shipping for me!!!

Yours is the first complaint I have ever heard about Classic. I have never had any dealings with them. They have a very good reputation. |

Oh well, I'll just have to call them if I need them. You'd think they'd have a e-mail, they could handle alot more stuff, without the phone hastle.

I spoke to them about this. When they listed an email address, they were inundated with email and couldn't keep up with it. This led to perceptions of bad service, etc., so they decided to just stick with telephone. |

I bought a laminated 91/30 and a laminated M-44 from them. They are very nice rifles. |

I didn't have such a great experience with them.
I ordered a K98 and there was a large repair in the wood that was not in the advertised description. I called to speak to Ben about it and I offered to email him pictures, but he wasn't interested in seeing them (which I give him credit for - he said he trusted me) and offered a $30 credit towards a future order. I decided to order another K98 and used the credit. This one came with the swats pinged out, which again was not in the description. I sent it back (and lost the credit, BTW). I ordered one from AIM and got a beautiful one with laminated wood, cupped buttplate, and a ton of markings. I'm sure my experience is not typical, because so many others love Classic, but I probably won't order from there again. |

I ordered three rifles from them and all came as described. Shipping was two days to Pennsylvania and everything came through fine. I would definitely order from them again (especially if it was an M44)

I purchased a NIB SKS that wouldn't shoot straight, they swapped it out no problems.
Another time a K31 was purchased and paid extra for the "hand select" and it had a bent bolt. For me the jury is still out. |
