Picked up a 24/47 today at a gunshow. It's a "Cherrys Inc." import, great metal finish, and a really good looking stock. I know I paid more than a lot of the current surplus out there is going for, but I like to see exactly what I'm buying. That said, can anyone tell me exactly what I bought, LOL? This ones got a turned down bolt. I thought these had straight bolts? Another dealer there had a Bluebook (?), but we never found a matching crest pic. Anyplace I can go to that has pictures of all the crests that I could compare this too? Not sure what I got, but I'm sure happy! Thanks. Greg

Take some good clear pics of the crest and what's stamped on the left side of the receiver. We can probably help you out.

There were lots of variations of the 24/47 - 24/30 made by FN for south american countries. Some with bent bolts. Many of them quite excellent rifles. Some of them hard to come by.

Go to photobucket.com. You can get free photo hosting. It's really easy and one of the most reliable.

Once you have an account, you upload pictures from your computer. Then just link to the image url.

OK....I'm not real swift when it comes to the computer/camera workings, but here goes!!

Hopefully this will work. If not I'll try, try again. Greg

Edit: Well, at least you can get to the pics. Maybe I'll eventually figure out how to make the links hot, then if I really advance, I'll learn how to just show the picture!! Probably have to wait till my daughter comes home from college for spring break before I get it, LOL. Thanks Greg

Sure, I knew someone would jump right in there and make me look like a jackass!! Seriously, thanks for posting the pics.

Two questions: (1) Can anyone tell me what kind of Mauser that is?
                          (2) How the hell do I post pictures like that?

Thanks. Greg

When you are looking at your photobucket album you see the three lines under the picture, url, tag and img. Copy the img line and paste it into your post.

I know nothing about Mausers though, someone else will show up and let you know.

It's a Yugo M24/47 that was built /rebuilt at workshop 124 and they used a M48 bolt.
