MFG.: Carl Gustafs
Date: 1912
Caliber: 6.5 mm
Scope: AGA 3X65 m/44
Brass Disk: Early 2 screw 7, I/23 No. 122 ( Rifle no. 112 at the 22:th Infantry regiment belonging to the 7:th company)

Rifle has all matching serial numbers. The mount and base serial numbers do not match and none match the rifle. No import stamp.

History:
The sniper rifle was created from specially selected m/96's, designated the m/41. About 5300 of these were made between 1941 and 1943. Three different  scopes were used on the m/41; German ZF 4x90 m/41, Swedish AGA 3x65 m/42 and the Swedish AGA 3x65 m/44. There was one variant called the m/41 B. It was produced with open sights that were more elaborate than those on the M/96 or m/41, incorporating an adj. knob rather than a simple ramp and marked SM sikte m/55. The m/41 B also had a blued bolt and the designation G m/41 B along with 3 crowns on its sling. The m/41 did not have threaded muzzles like the M/96 or m/38 rifles thus m/41 was forbidden to fire blinks.

Nice rifle. I have 2 41bs. An Obie and a CG. At first I thought you had the wrong scope till re-read and saw you had a 41, not a b. Still wondering about the scope base and mount numbers not matching. I've seen quite a few 41bs and they always match. On my two the bases and mounts are matched to each other and will NOT interchange they are matched so well.

But I will admit to not knowing much about plain 41s.

Very nice... My next purchase will be sweedish. Only because I accidently bought 6.5 x 55 for my Swiss K-31. Now I gotta by a gun to match my Swedish Ammo!
