Finally after much waiting, I am doing really good on my taxes this year so..........
I FINALLY did my first  C&R purchase from AIM.
Yes,  I finally got my K31 and case of ammo ordered.
I opted or the walnut stock and hand pick (best of 5 it said).
Man I am psyched, my first one delivered to ME...

Soon as it shows, I'll get her cleaned up and get some pics up!

Excellent choice for your first rifle.

Now be prepared to order 1 of EVERYTHING else that AIM sells, this week.... then back order a couple of CZ-52's from JG Sales... and 1 of everything from Samco Global...

Spent your whole tax refund yet?

Thanks guys

I have to admit I'm kind of excited to see this rifle.
More so to see if it's got a tag under the butt plate.
I know the guys who were issued these are all most like gone but has anyone actually ever tracked down the person on the tag ? Odd question I know.
But I just have a thing for history.

Don't get me wrong though, I can't wait to shoot it either.
Clean it up , drool over it.
I will get some pics up once it gets here.

Ok, it showed up Friday along with my case of ammo
Here's a couple pics and a question or two,
Stocks got some pretty good dings in it, ALL the numbers match even down to the one inside the stock
Bore looks great, finish is work off in a few places , but hey, that gives it character rght ?

I looked at it close after cleaning it up and to me the front sight lookslike it's canted off to the right.
If you look at this pic it looks like it is. Is this common or a problem ?

And here's the tag I found under the plate.
I checked the swiss rifle website but couldn't really figure it out.

Congrats on joining the K31 club!  I shot one of mine today that I just put the St. Marie scope mount on and I had a 3 shot group that was touching!  My cousin and I couldn't believe it and after shooting this fine swiss firearm, my $200 two stage trigger on my AR felt like a big piece of crap for lack of a better description.  I looked on a few sites about your tag and all I could come up with was his name was Fracois Chable and he lived on Grand rue in Couvet, Switzerland.  I couldn't find what the NE stood for and would be interested to know.  Hopefully someone else on here can help out or correct any mistakes I might have made.  Enjoy your K31 and all the other guns you'll have in about 2 weeks!

"I couldn't find what the NE stood for and would be interested to know."

The NE is the abbreviation of the Swiss canton Mr Chable lived in - the canton of Neuchatel.

Finally got to shoot the K31 this morning.
Man what a blast.
I love this thing.  I've never been great with irons due to my eyesight but I did ok.
Recoil was suprisingly less than what I expected for a 7.5mm round.
Guess the weight takes care of alot of it.

Hey, that's great!  Welcome to the wonderful world of Swiss flu!

I got out with mine this morning as well.

My son and I went to the range; We took my AR with EOthingy, light, foregrip, etc, etc, and Ingrid, the K31.  I set both rifles up and said, "OK son, which one do you want to shoot?"  "I want to shoot that one," he said as he pointed to the K31.  The flu runs through some family members prety fast.

Regards,

Rick

I love mine.
But I am going to have to scope it.
Bad eyesight can be a b*tch some times.
I'm terrible with those old types of iron sights.

I decided to try this mount  Linky and the warne rings.
I'm right eye dominant and sicne it puts the scope on the right side I figured it might work for me.
I went with the clamp on version since I really didn't care for drilling holes in it.

Anybody had an experience withthis mount ? TIPS maybe??

Once I get it in and get something mounted I'll post up some more pics and try to get another range report.
