I submitted my paperwork on 12/17, and yesterday rec'd a big ole packet from the ATF containing state regs, approved firearms list, how to spot suspicious folks flyer, etc but, no license!?!?!?!?
Should I have received the license already? Was this left out of the packet? or is this the normal routine? Thanks Blitz ETA- Thx guys  ETA-C&R Arrived 2/4 along with 2 additional info packs.....that makes 3!!!  ETA-2/8- 4th package arrived. WTF

The license and the publications packet are sent from two different locations. It's very common for the publications to arrive first.

I got two packages of identically the same stuff. What is that all about??? Seems like a waste since those packages are pretty heavy as far a postage is concerned.

I got a new copy of regs when I sent in my renewal 45 days ago but haven't seen the new license.

Don't worry son . . .
This is a very good sign . . . . First -- your "package" will arrive -- regs, booklet, etc. Second -- your license will arrive And third -- your new map will arrive . . . . . . . . . .  You know . . . your new map . . . . . the map to the POOR HOUSE ! ! ! Believe you me ! ! You'll be moving there REAL soon ! ! ! !  |

 I had this very same thing happen to me when I got my license. I thought the ATF was screwing with me, then it showed up in the mail a week later........and now surplus rifles abound

Renewal was in the mail today! Took 45 days after I saw they had charged my card.

Only Two?? 6 and 7 just arived today!!!!!! At $8.95 a pop for delivery!!!!

wada ya think the 30 bucks was for? at lest we know it didn't get used on subsidies for one legad sheep herders with lepercie.

when its time to renew does ATF send me a renewal form to fill out or do I have to resumbit the standard form. Mine expires in september of this year and first time renewing so just wondering.

They sent me a renewal form about a month before mine expired. I think it was a 1 pager, front and back.

Uh oh. That means that I'll be without a license for almost a month (if the 45days turnaround is average). I don't know if I can deal with the withdrawl.

Well this is getting retarded!! I just received welcome package number 4 yesterday in the mail!!!!
What the heck are they doing up there at the ATF? Sounds like a computer glitch to me. |

My C&R took three weeks mailbox to mailbox.
I only got one set of books, but I got another when I changed my address 6 months later, and then an updated book recently. |

Imagine what you would get in the mail is it wasn't for the paperwork reduction act!
I got my books about a week before the license. I got the renewal a couple of months before mine expired. I hope the renewal goes quicker than the original application. I have to remember to send out copies of the renewed license after I get it. Jim |
