I just bought 2 AIM Surplus K31s and one comes with a scope mount mounted on the rear sight, which will essentially be for a scout scope.  

I can not be the first person to solve this problem.   Which scope, with specific names and munbers, works well with this configuration?

I am thinking that a new school heads up optic sight with a 2X or 1X4 will work nicely.  

I very much appreciate the help.

Will report back on my experiences.

You didn't specify a price range.

I have the very low end 2x20 NcStar on several of mine and they work ok.
