There are a lot of newer than 50 year old guns, especially rifles, that are specifically listed by the atf, as being able to be shipped to a c&r licensee, however, I rarely hear anybody talk about buying something newer.  I realize that a lot of the stuff listed is "commerative" stuff or something like that, that sell at higher prices, but I would think somebody must have bought some relatively new guns with their license.

I do it all the time. Virtually all pre 64 Winchesters are on the list as well as 2nd Generation Colt SAAs(made until 1974).
