I see they have these for an extra $20.  Are these 7.62 mm 2A/2A1s?  Or are these std MkIII*.303s?
I thought Ishy quit making .303s when the 2As started in the 1960s.   Any help will be appreciated

I have not heard of any 2a's or 2a1's coming in so I would say based on their last shipment these are what is left of the late model .303's.

They made some in the 80's also.

Were these .303s (Ishys) assembled of left-over parts or were they new made on old tooling???

There are some .303 models that were made in the 80's according to some reports. I have not seen any yet so I would only be assuming that they were new recvs. made with left over parts.

An interesting sub line in the history of the smle , but to me not worth any extra money.
