I am going to be trying to get my C&R license in about 3 weeks (hey R-32!) and I have been looking this forum, and other places as well, over and I was just curious as to what, if any, C&R rifle(s), semi-auto or not, have removable magazines. Are any of them even worth getting? Thanks and can't wait to get that 03!

The first one that comes to mind is the Enfield, and they are definitely worth their price.  I am drawing a blank on others right now, but I'm sure the hive mind will have some more examples for you.

The swiss k31 has a removable magazine, its a bolt action.
i think extra mags cost more than the rifle though.

What you need to get with your C&R is a Garand, from the CMP.

C&R won't help in regards to the CMP.

The C&R will NOW satisfy the shooting requirement.  It's a big help.

There's a LOT of C&Rs with detachable magazines that are not currently available at the wholesalers.  Sale boards and auctions for those.

Russian SVT 38 & 40 in 7.62x54R

FN49 in 8mm mauser, 7mm Mauser and 30-06. The Argentine conversion is .308 but uses a 20 round mag and in that configuration would not be CA legal.

Swede Ljungman in 6.5x55 Mauser.

All the above use a 10 round mag. The Swede is very accurate.

The FN rifles were the fore runner to the FN FAL and are accurate and reliable (with a 2 piece firing pin) I really like my Venezuelan FN49 in 7mm a lot. Accurate and has light recoil.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the M1 Carbine.

How about a Reising Model 60. (you're only asking about rifles, right)
