How is it crap? I shoot it all the time. I have gone through seveal cases with only one bad round.
I can easily shoot milk jugs at 200M open sights with it. It is not "hot", it is loaded to spec. Americans are used to crappy weak downladed ammo. This ammo is where it should be. Is it match ammo? Hell no, but it is just fine for what you want. I have over 100K still stored and ready t go. Wish I had more but the floor is cracking. Stay away from 1947 dated ammo and it is safe. If you plan to shoot it in a Turkish rifle, I would have it inspected by a good gunsmith first, then shoot the hell out of it. |

Bolt #s never seem to match on Turks, so check headspace regardless. Roughly 3moa and 2% duds for a nickel a shot with my current 1939 crate and 1941 T38.
1947 has a rep, and seen at shows, for the most brittle brass/cracked necks. Many also use loading gear to pull bullets, dump powder, reload with reduced changes. |

Other than the fact it's corrosive (clean accordingly) I've had no problems with it. In my rifle it's accurate out beyond 200 yards.

have well over 4000 of it,,, shot prolly 1500 of it show far ,,besides some brittle brass,,it shoots great,, very well in some guns,,, all of my mausers love it,,, specially my 50$ turk and my m48

If it is corrosive, take a small cheap plastic funnel and some "sudsy ammonia" to the range. When you are done shooting, pour some the ammonia down the barrel from the receiver end. This will neutralize the nasty stuff from the ammo until you get home to give it a proper cleaning. This info is from the C&R crowd who know about this better than I. Supposedly, even letting the gun wait until you get home can cause damage. I am sure that there will be many here who disagree, but why turn your barrel black if you don't have to? -White Horse |

Good ammo, I have shot quite a bit of it 39/41/44/49 with no problems or duds. Ammo isn't hot as stated and I find it more pleasent shooting than the 198 gr Ss load. Accuracy is very good thru my Turk 98/22 and GEW 98's.
