32 round boxes from Aimsurplus at 4 something a pop and 48 round bags from GNS for like 7 a pop. Origins or quality anyone?

Better than Indian .308? Would you say its safe to fire in an Enfield?

Definately a crap shoot. Lots of hangfires and some split cases, or sometimes it goes bang.

As a rule, don't shoot ammo from a country where you wouldn't drink the water. At least that's my philosophy.

I wouldnt drink the water in any East-European country but I would gladly fire their ammunition any day.

I'm still shooting the HXP that I bought in 1999.

Once the South African surplus dried up there really was no more GOOD and Cheap .303.

Time to start reloading.<G>

Is that boxer or berdan FNM?

They have about ruined their reputation with some of the recent ammo.

But then again I have some of that and haven't seen the problems some have reported.

Don't shoot that stuff.  It is worth a fortune!  I still have 4 sealed spam cans of it.  I am not touching it because of what it is worth.

I shoot FNM or S & B.  Both are fine, but the FNM has better brass.

There is NO end to the complaints about the FNM 7.5 French and 7.5 x 55 Swiss.  I've not tried the Swiss but I've shot quite a bit of the French stuff in both my MAS 49/56 with no problems.  Makes me wonder about all the complaints.

My handloads are better though.<G>

All of the new FNM in the blue boxes is boxer.

I have only ever had problems with their ammo in 5.56mm. But I shoot that so little it is no big deal.  Their 8mm and 6.5 X 55 is great.

Pakistan.

I have some that is good, some that is bad.  It is a crap shoot.

I dont know exactly what "aimsurplus" is offering (a LINK to it would be helpful), but I've been thru several of the 32rnd boxes from P.O.F. (Pakistan Ordnance Factory), late 60's headstamp.  It *IS* corrosive, and all of it went bang, but usually with a delayed ignition... so just be aware.  Felt like I was firing a flint lock:  squeeze, click, BANG.

Not bad for plinking... price is hard to beat.
www.cheaperthandirt.com, www.ammunitionstore.com and www.ammoman.com carry .303 (or did) and you can usually get better stuff for not much more $$$
