And this was inside it.
 The cosmoline was a mother b#$@% to get off everything, there is still some under the gas piston tube that I cant get to. The bore was absoultly stuffed full of it. I still need to sweat it out of the stock a little more though. Looks like the barrel was replaced with a newer one at some point. For $109 it's an awsome deal. I'll report back on how it shoots! |

You can get the cosmo out that area by placing the gas tube assembly in a shallow pan and putting it in the oven at a low temperature.
You don't want to get it too hot or leave it too long or you could bubble the finish. Just hot and long enough to get the cosmo to run out. Dennis Jenkins

The smell seems to linger for days. I'm no longer allowed to clean guns in the house anymore. It's a bitch in the winter when it's cold.
I had some success using a hair dryer to heat up some of the parts. |

AIM Surplus. Very Good condition rifle. They have 'shooter grade' for like $90 and several people have recieved pretty nice rifles from that group too. Runs about $11 or $12 for shipping. |
