I have spent months restoring mine back to the correct configuration. I had the chance to hand pick mine at AIM. I had to go through 18 crates to find 2 that were good enough to restore. The rebuild quailty is non-existant, and they just threw any part that would fit on them.

How did you manage to find all the original serialized parts to restore them to their correct configuration?

That is the hard part. I have a list of every part that I need, and the number I need on it. I have the list on file with several dealers I know, plus several other collector friends. I sometimes talk dealers into swaping out a part on a non-matching rifle.
It takes time, and buying some parts pot luck style, but you build a supply of spares.
It took a while believe me.
Mine were both 1936 models, so they were a mix of Weimar and Axis stamps. The bolts matched, so I started from there and worked my way up. Not all parts have numbers on them on all rifles from all builders, so thise are the easy ones.
It is a pain in the ass, but it pays off in the end.
