Just courious about them, how do they shoot, things like that. Just thinking about adding to the C&R collection...

They are fun shooters, decently accurate, the best buy in a C&R pistol currently available. Surplus ammo is cheap, though most is corrosive, so you need to clean accordingly. The sights are abysmal, and if you dry fire it you run the risk of breaking the firing pin (stock pins were hardened too much).

Lots of "Sturm und Drang" muzzleblast can engage 2 targets at once (high velocity brass ejection) tiny sights trigger pull could be better probably the best value in a milsurp pistol & if soft point or hollowpoint factory ammo was available I'd have no problems using it for defensive purposes. The FMJ has a bit too much penetration...... Buy one now while they're still cheap. Heck, buy two or three. They'd be a bargain at twice the price, as is they're an outright steal. |

They are fun and cheap. I love mine.
As tiny as the sights are, and the trigger could be better I was still hitting the 100yd gong from a rest by holding on the top of the gong. I was able to do this probably 6 times out of the 8 rds in the mag. Some of the other people there were rather impressed with the pistol. |

I have 3. They are great pistols. A bit in the heavy side, and large. Muzzle blast is huge, especially at night.
I would say it is a must buy. |

I have had five and am currently down to two. Fun gun, cheap loud and flashy (hmm.. there has to be a joke in there somewhere) If you reload you can make them into pocket cannons.
1500fps w/110gr A must have for the collector. |

Hey!
Yep! Fun and cheap to shoot and easy to reload for. Pick up a "machined" firing pin and a Wolf 16lb recoil spring. |

I really like mine. Lots of muzzle blast and pretty accurate. And when you run out of ammo you have a bludgeoning tool.

Heavy and ugly, but they're GREAT shooters.  Who are you thinking of ordering from? (pssssst - pop for the extra 10 or 20 bucks for "hand-picked".) Edited to add: I just mean they''re fugly to me (but beauty is in the eye of the beerholder).

Excellent - the guys (& gals) at AIM are great!
FWIW, there's no way in the world I can prove it (and I know I'm repeating myself here), but they really do go thru their stock and pick out the best stuff they have when you order "hand-picked".

I have a CZ-52, which I really like. I am considering sending it to FWRA on Falfiles.com for some custom work, but that is a ways down the wish list right now. I like the caliber, and the weapon is slender enough I could carry it concealed if I so choose. The only thing I really don't like is the almost impossibly shitty mag release, although I am getting a little faster with practice. |

Sellier & Bellot is boxer primed, reloadable and usually halfway decently priced. Other than that there is the usual surplus market. There is controversy about the Czhechloslovakia (sp?) surplus, many say it is subgun ammo and loaded very very hot. Then again they also say the CZ52 is made to handle it. All other ammo manufacturers are consider fine. |

I bought one today at the gun show, test shot it when I got home, very impressive. One hell of a muzzle blast. Good velocity, my 9mm never kicks up dirt like this one does. Too bad they dont make any hollow point ammo, they would be very effective.

You can roll your own with a Hornady XTP bullet @ 1,600 FPS very easily. |

Are you reloading this or simply exchanging bullets? I haven't done much reloading in the past 3 or 4 yrs  and don't feel inclined to start a new caliber right now. But if a simple exchanging of bullets, ie. Mexican Match, I might give it a try.
