Your best chance is to buy a used stock and have it painted, since there are no factory stocks out for sale alone yet. I did hear a rumor about a wood stock coming out this year that you could buy alone.

Supposedly Hogue's new 10/22 TD stock is available. If I can find one for mine before your kid's birthday, I will let you know.

Dick's Sporting Good (Colorado) carries 10/22TD in Stainless with a Multicam Stock. I bought mine on Black Thursday at a great price, otherwise they're almost four Franklins!
