Would like to get some suggestions on mounts and glass for my 10/22 TD.  Would like something that is removable but has a good return to zero.

Budget? Magnification range? Does it still have to fit in the OEM bag?

FWIW, I had a 3-9 on a one piece detachable Armalite mount but that seemed to always snag on the pocket when I was taking it in and out of the bag. So I decided to go with something permanently attached: Leupold VX1 2-7x28 rimfire on a DNZ mount. Still fits in the Ruger bag.

I got this UTG BugBuster 3-9x scope. It has A LOT of features (illuminated dual color reticle, flip up caps, extra extended shade to thread onto the front etc) and it came with adjustable QD picatinny rings.

I got this UTG low profile picatinny mount too: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002GNYCJ4/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

With this setup I can still see the iron sights too (barely but hey better than nothing in a pinch)

why better in a pinch? just take the scope off. You have qd levers.

I've got a tasco 4x on mine in UTG qd rings. comes back to minute of squirrell every time i take it off. When it get's SBR'd I'm putting a fast fire ii on it, for size and weight.

For my 10/22 TD I use a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5x32 in utg rings and it actually returns to zero pretty well. I took the scope off and put it back on and shot at 100 yards steel plates with ease. I am sure there was some shift, but not much as the lil plate was the size of my hand at 100 yards.

I use a weaver rv9 3x9 scope. It's a rimfire scope that is fairly light.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.  I will review them and see what I come up with.  Definitely want to use the qd rings and stick with the oem rail, if possible.
