I understand Que from rimfire central is the go-to guy but it seems he is taking some time off due to his old man having a stroke.

Are there any other reputable guys around the interwebz who do good work with a decent turnaround time?

Thanks for the info, I just sent an email to him.  They are fairly close to me and I always like to support our own!

Does that include moving the sight back? I have a takedown 10/22 I want to get threaded.

Not sure. I just emailed him back about that.

eta, no it does not include moving the front site back and he didn't seem interesting in doing so.

Gemtech will do it as well and they will attach the front sight post.

For 15O bucks and....

*** CURRENT TURNAROUND for barrel threading service: Up to 90 days. ***

My boy's birthday is in a couple weeks so that won't work.

Why not get in touch with ADCO...they are an ARF vendor and do plenty of barrel work.

I'm going to send ADCO my charger barrel to have it chopped/threaded.

When it comes to barrel threading...make sure it's done properly no matter what the cost is...especially if you are going to be running the barrels with suppressors.  That "cheap" thread job could cause a serious injury.

Hanging tree armory does the best takedown work.  Best price too.  Cut, crown, thread, thread protector, relocate front sight, bead blast.

Hanging tree quoted me a 2-3 week lead time.

Anyone heard of See N See Machine out of Columbiana, OH?

Found them on eBay. Little pricey but have a turnaround of 1-2 days.

This was my reasoning for Gemtech...ADCO won't put the front sight post back on....ask me how I know....

As an aside, I know they won't work with the timeframe you want.  Just clarifying my first post on quality vs. cost.

I know, moving the front site back seems to be an issue with most shops.

ADCO dicked me around years ago. I don't even remember how/why but... one strike and you're out with my $.

I understand they are a busy shop...and get a lot of praise, albeit, rightfully so....but their CS sucks....never had a pleasant email with Steve or the rep who uses their CS email.

I won't use em from that alone...though they did cut and thread my takedown....of course, less the front sight post...

thanks for the ebay link. That looks pretty good to me. The front sight is a bitch to move back.
The TD barrel is 18.5", I'm gonna have it cut to 16"

I finally had my barrel cut down and threaded. Randall from ar15barrels.com did the job and it's flawless. Cut from 18.5" to 16", front sight moved back and threaded 0.395 for .22lr silencers. Very nice job.

I just sent mine to gunnergirl.... Found her in the EE.

Having the same work done on my 10/22TD. Chop to 16", thread, move back front sight & thread protector.   Was quoted a 2 week turn around.   Will update when it returns.

Steve/Guncat at Rose Action Sports has been my go to person for the past several years.  I've sent him numerous things to get modified.  His prices are always great and his turn around times are always fast.  The work he does it also nice.

He has done modifications to my 870 barrel, 1100 barrel, some action work to my 1100 as well as tuning, and I am sending in my 10/22 next to have a barrel channel opened up and to have it bedded.
