SEAL recce build complete. 12th Model should be approved sometime this fall. Glass gets painted once I'm certain I like it.

I absolutely love this M&P 15-22.
We shoot it constantly. It's an awesome tool to get kids into shooting and my son, nephews, nieces and friends always want to shoot it.
Piney Mountain tracers are a blast out of it.
We shoot 60 yards with MBUS sights and the thing is right on.
I want to buy another one and mount a small Burris on it.

Did i mention how glad i am to find this .22 section finally?

Been around here awhile, but never really ventured into this subforum. Figured I'd post a couple pics. Most of these have been posted in the regular SBR forum, so some of you have seen them before. There are some nice looking 15-22 builds in here.

Started with a MOE version, added a Vortex SPARC and an AFG2:

Got an approved F1, and sent the barrel off to ADCO.

ADCO (left) threads match the SiCo specs better than SiCo does with their adapter (right):

(Pics with can are all a Spectre II replica I had made to shoot unsuppressed

Makes a good pair with the M&P 22:

(5 shots unsuppressed, the rest of the mag suppressed. Really not sure what happened on the first suppressed shot. Never had the FRP like that with the Spectre II, either on the SBR or pistol)

Cool. but why have an AFG if you are just gonna hold the magwell?

That's just where I happened to grab it when shooting the video. They have a no photography, no rapid fire (minimum 1 sec between shots) policy, and so I was violating both rules at the same time. I was trying to reach down and hit start/stop on my phone while trying to keep the barrel in view.

I decided to have ADCO cut the barrel so the threads are just past the hand guard.   I haven't got to shoot it yet.

His and Hers M&P 15-22s.  MrsCheShirt took a shine to the all black one I built after shooting it one day and gentlemen, if your woman NAMES your rifle before you get home, just admit it's gone.  On the upside, it gave me an excuse to build an FDE version.  Now I'm thinking I need something in a greenish....

Hey all. I need to send my 15-22 in to S&W because it stopped firing. Does anybody have a factory handguard and barrel nut they're willing to sell? Please PM directly. Thanks in advance!

What's it doing? Might be something you can fix on your own. Mine had a common extractor problem that caused FTFs and FTEs constantly; all I had to do was pull the extractor more towards the ejection port. Problem solved.

Unfortunately, I threw the stock handguard and barrel nut away.

If it were me, I'd disassemble the bolt and inspect everything before I spent money to re-buy parts, reassembled to stock configuration, boxed it up and sent it off to S&W and had to wait.

If that doesn't work, lemme know.  I should have spares of the original stuff in a parts box in the garage.  If I can find the box and find the parts, I can hook you up.  That should leave me one spare set if either of the Mock Dissys get horked up.

Picked these up a few weeks ago from my LGS. Both , out the door, for right at $900.
Pink one is my little girls xmas gift. Magpul one is for me.
Got 2 Bushnell Tr25s from Palmetto.
Found a flashlight mount of questionable Mfg in a drawer, along with an old Pentagon, and a 1st gen Magpul sling.

Welcome, build quality is impressive & they're feeding 100%. Bolt has locked back on empty every time.  I'm shooting clean burning jacketed subs (AE Suppressor load) but suspect waxy non-jacketed ammo will likely induce issues with high round counts if you don't keep the build-up in check due to the tight mag tolerances. They break down for cleaning like normal so keeping them running reliably shouldn't be an issue. 15 rounds is a snug fit at this point, haven't made it to 20 yet as I don't want to dimple cases trying to pack them in. Thinking the spring is just tight & will loosen up with use. Just got them on Monday so not a lot of rounds through them yet... around 100 but so far I'm very pleased.

Pics of the rifle I built for my step daughter (she's 34, and you're not getting pics).  I put magpul pink furniture on it and had the rail and vertical foregrip duracoated in "magpul pink" and added a Primary Arms red dot sight.  I got her 3 mags and had them duracoated too.  I also did the M&P logo in two-tone lacquer stik as well as the safe/fire selections.

It's a 20 rd mag made by Salem6.  It was a test release, haven't heard if they are going to make a full scale run.  They're ok, but sometimes they don't work perfectly.

Who's this Salem6 character? Because my only gripe with the 15-22 is the retarded shape of the magazines.

They don't have a BHO tab like the S&W mags do.  If you get them you'll want to disassemble them and put a little graphite powder lube in them.  Some people like them, some hate them.  I actually picked up 2 from a guy that didn't like them, but so far they're ok for me.  I'm just using them for the range.
