Hopefully they'll be making all the colors and selling them soon. My rifle has a "big brother" also, of a similar setup... only it's in UDE and has a red dot on it. I want to get a Primary Arms red dot for this one as soon as I get a chance, and after that I think this one will be just about finished! (Is there a such thing as "finished" anyway?) |

Na i dont think there is anything as "finished". Theres always something new and improved coming out. Im just a back-yard shooter, I like to change up my guns every other year or so, just to keep it fun.

Anyone ever swap out the upper on these to like a 5.56?

Thanks good to know!

It's Midwest's end plate loop sling adapter. It is a no gunsmithing solution which was perfect for the Smith since you cannot disassemble the tube. Slip it on. Tighten. Go.

Brownell's Listing Do you have the slot or loop variety there? Also.. I can't tell from the specs... will that accept an 1.25 inch sling? I really need to tweek my sling set up. That looks like it would be a good solution for the rear but I need a quick release for the forward attachment point. |

I have the slot. I said loop but it is a slot. Had no sleep when I typed it. I'll have to dig it out later and measure for the sling. I've had Gear Sector and Magpul slings on it with no issues.

There's a tacked photo thread at the top of the forum. Add a link to this thread, I've fixed this one so it can't fall into the archive.

Nice looking sticks y'all have here. Any idea what the S&W part# is for the FDE 15-22 mags?

Great looking rifles you all have there.
Im a S&W fanboy myself, but I am not happy about them using plastic in their receivers among other things like changing buffer tube etc. Not when Umarex is putting out the Colt and HK models with steel receivers. I am looking at picking up a .22 soon and was really wanting to go with the S&W til I found out about the materials. Did they finally start putting flash hiders on them as well? |

Had the same dilemma, but went with the Smith anyway. The Colt/Umarex looks great but some controls aren't prototypical, and teardown isn't like an AR. The poly is more than strong enough, and the bolt rides on steel rails; no use worrying about what isn't a problem. BTW, best money you can spend on a 15-22 is a Geissele SSA trigger. Fits and works just fine. Moon |

A small hand file is all you need. There are numerous threads about getting them to work.
