The gopher was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I just got the new optic sighted in and he popped out behind my targets. Being dumb must hurt.
BOOM...headshot

This rifles kill count jumped up over 50 yesterday. It will get many more when I get some spare time here at the ranch.

Took my 15-22 out in the monsoon like rain we just had.  Thoroughly soaked and still worked like a champ.

And before you ask I use the afg and my fiancée uses the rvg.  No point in swapping them in and out constantly.

I want to come to your ranch and play too!! Seriously though, nice looking 15-22.

Here's mine. Still waiting on a few parts, I'm adding an AFG-1 and an ACS and changing to a VTAC sling mount, but other than that I'm pretty happy with it. I just got my check sent off for an SWR Warlock II for it too, but it'll be next year before I get to play with it

FYI  the Matech BUIS set at 500 mark is exactly zero for 50yards and when clicked to 600 mark is good for 100-120yards. My shitty factory rear sight was mechanically maxed almost to the left just to get the rifle on paper, just figured it was the flexible front to rear sight radius. Once I mounted that Matech on there its perfect dead center on windage setting and mechanically centered perfect.

Mods: Troy rail panel kit, Magpul MOE, Daniel Defense QD sling mount, Matech Rear BUIS, and Sig light and laser for garbage diggers at night.

On the stock, its a Troy mount. On the handguard its a IWC flushmount for the Troy handguards and a IWC tri glide on the sling. So basically I have a 2 point and a single point sling all in one.

Thanks! It is lotsa fun! No, that's a TA44SR-10. The one below has got a TA33...TA33G-H to be excact. The one with SF has a Timney 3lb trigger. Both have SF X300's and LaserMax Uni-max's; same as my AR's so everything feels the same.

Awesome! I missed the trigger in the first pic because I was drooling over the SF and ACOG. Both look great.

Looks nice! I bet that took a long time to do all the stippling.

I'm still waiting for the ACS stock to get here but my AFG did come with an order of magazines that I just got today. Next thing I plan to do is strip the mags and paint the orange followers black... I didn't mind the orange at first but I'm over it now.

Nice combo Outkast.

Yeah the stippling took forever. My back hurt from hunching over to see what I was doing, but it was worth it.

Very nice rifles TrackSol and XxLaloCuraxX

I'm surprised how many don't have slings on their rifles. Do y'all hunt or train with your 15-22s? I suppose most folks just plink with them and there's nothing wrong with that but it does make a great squirrel, rabbit, and rat rifle.

I liked the first one so much, I bought a second. This one is going to stay lightweight and get abused.

Hey xb, how did you get the Troy to seat against the receiver?  We just built an SBR using the Troy TRX in 7" , and the barrel was not centered in the handguard, unless we moved it out about 1/8" from the receiver.  If the handguard is not tightened down in the channel on the barrel nut, it cants it a little.

You might have to grind down the plastic nub at the 6 o'clock position on the receiver. It's there to prevent rotation of the factory hand guard.

We did that, but we found that when the TRX was squeezed together at the tabs, it canted the handguard up, unless we moved it out away from the receiver to the point where it could rotate in the groove in the barrel nut.  Once we positioned it there, it tightened perfectly and the barrel was centered enough that we could zero the iron sight.  That left a 1/8 " gap.  We're thinking that either we have to grind a new channel in the berrel nut, or just leave it there and cut a small peice of the original handguard to make a spacer in between the reciver and the handguard.

Here's the finished product.  I love the way it came out.  The barrel is 6" and the can is a Silencerco Sparrow.  The rifle shoots incredibly well, its quiet and we had no trouble hitting the 100 and 200 yard hog silhouettes today.  we had to make a shim from the rear of the plastic handguard, because there was a gap left by the TRX having to clamp down in the groove on its proprietary barrel nut.  My gunsmith at LMS Firearms, in Victoria, TX, did an incredible job!

Made a new sling for mine. The Magpul Ms2 webbing I had recycled for my 15-22 just sucked and it was time to move on.

They've had the built in QD for 2-3 years now.

Maybe the MOE versions have, but not the standard models. Neither of mine have QD sockets in the lower. One was purchased ~1.5 years ago and the other was just purchased <2 months ago.
