What's torque specification for the V-block barrel retainer screws? I think I may have fastened mine too tight. The block has a hairline crack.

sounds like you need a replacement now.

Thank you for the tip on the replacement block. However, I was asking about the torque value of the screws. Or how do you guys do it when reinstalling the block? Do you finger tight the screws until they meet the metal; then, give it another half turn with a wrench?

i just torque to yeild.


would guesstimate around 30-40 in. lbs?
