Sling Stud? there is a screw right above the trigger on the stock about an inch or 2. thats about it.

google harris bipods.

sling stud is a ball looking stud usually mounted at the bottom of you stock near the front of the forearm. the harris clamps onto it.

looks like a harris 9"-13".  I wouldn't think you could attach it to anything tube-fed.  it needs a nice flat surface to attach to.

I have one of the shooter's ridge ones on my .22 and my 30-06.  They work great and can be purchased at Wal-Mart.  You do have to have a sling stud to mount it to, however.  By looking at the pix it looks like you might be able to install one there.  If you are not comfortable doing that kind of a mod to your gun take it to a gunsmith and they will be able to tell you if it is possilbe.

My walmart sells them for 39.95...It's the shooters ridge rocky mount standard bipod...they also make a swivel style that is probably more.  The standard one my store keeps in stock.

if you have a sling stud it is only a matter of tightening a screw on the bipod

I have two of the $40 ones...and will probably buy another as soon as I have another rifle to put one on.

I have a Shooter Ridge bipod and found out the hard way that they do not use Locktite on the bolts that hold the legs on.  I got home from the range , took it out of my gun case, and it fell apart!  A quick search of the case and floor and I found the tiny nut.

So just save my money for a better one than the shooter ridge?

they're great for the price.  just put some loctite on those bolts and you'll be good to go.

I have not had any problems with either of mine...even shooting my 30-06 it has held up great.
