what do you like the best?  are CCI stingers worth the extra cost?  i'd like something that has a reasonably flat trajectory for accurate shooting out to 200 yards.

Merry Christmas

My favorite .22 ammo, far and away, is Winchester Dynapoints. If I could get nothing else, I'd be happy. They work in everything and are accurate in everything.

If you are looking for flat trajectory out to 200 (hahahahaha!), I suspect that CCI MiniMags would work better for you.

aquilla makes a great alternative to the stinger,  It's the real high velocity one, in a yello box, runs about $13 for 500.  Shoots just like the stinger.

For my Marlin 60--these work great too.  ~3/4" groups at 50yds
Velocitors printed about a 3" group...

I'm a really big fan of the Sidewinder ammo that I believe is made by PMC.  The stuff runs great in my Roogler 22/45 and my CZ 452 likes it as well.  Also, for $8 for 500rds, one can't complain too much.

Since I'm on the other side of the atlantic I must say my favorite .22 ammo is Lapua Standard Club which I can buy in 500rnd cans, I use it both for target shooting and rabbit hunting.

i have a brick or two myself, shoots good in everything i have,
i can hit a 8x11 steel plate at 200 with it, but the trajectory is by no means flat,,,
(basically trial and error thru a marlin 39a, with irons, but once you get the hang of where to set the front post i could hit it 8 of 10 times,,)

the PMC Target (used to be a yellow box, not sure now) is very accurate thru my 75 win's and 513

YMMV

It aint cheap $46 for a 500rnd can, however! thats cheap here :)

Lapua Subsonic hollowpoints are $7.38
Lapua Super Club 40gr are $5.38
Sellier & Bellot High Velocity are $4.54

I wasn't able to find the prices for CCI or remington but these 4 are the main ammos here in Iceland.

Iceland is not the most gun or ammo friendly country :)

Wolf MT is the best rimfire amo under $30/500.  Extremely accurate for the money.

+1 for Wolf match 22 lr ammo. I have compared many brands of ammo including top of the line stuff like CCI Green Dot, Federal Gold Metal, Remington Target to include the standard ammo types and the Wolf shoots best in my Ruger 10/22 with Green Mountain barrel. The only down side is the bullet drifts to the right. I do not know how to explain it but it is a consistent drift. My zero is at 50 yards. At 25 yards the rounds impact slightly to the left. At 75 yards the rounds impact slightly to the right and low and at 100 yards the impact is even more to the right and lower. The curve to the right is very consistent. On a calm day I can stack rounds on top of each other at 100 yards.

I'd like to know what their reasoning is for that stupid rule.  I bet it's the store manager's private rule.  Super secret spy stuff.

I just came back from the range and shot about 200 rounds.  My little Ruger MKII worked great.  It's breaking in perfectly.    I have one pack left.  I'll have to obtain more this week.

Beats me. I guess they figger that anyone planning to do "gun crimes" after 11 PM is too stupid to think even a few hours ahead and buy their junk then. Dunno if it's a store rule, local, regional, or what, but it's printed on an official-looking sign.

i went out an tried some wolf match, federal match, and CCI stingers.  i got an FTE on my second round of the wolf.  it seems to have a sticky sealant substance in between the bullet and the case, i think this may be part of the problem...

You're very welcome. About 80-90% of those who try Dynapoints REALLY like them. The rest I guess have guns that don't do that well with them, or maybe they are comparing them to ammo that costs much, MUCH more. All I can tell you is that I shot them in 20 different rifles against four other kinds of ammo and they were the most accurate in HALF those guns and second most accurate in many of the others. The finished the shootoff in first place overall, by a small margin over CCI MiniMags, which cost twice as much.
