Was thinking today it would be cool to have a 10/22 pistol.  Mainly a pistol that takes a 10/22 magazine the only one I know of is a tec-22 which seems very unreliable from my past experience.   So it would seem desirable to have one build upon a 10/22 receiver to have the reliability of the 10/22 platform in a pistol form factor.

Is anyone making such a thing currently?  

Has anyone built one up?  I am guessing you would have to buy a new receiver and have it papered as a pistol and then you could make it happen.  Krinker Plinker looks like it might be cool without the folding stock as a pistol anyone done this?  Does this end up getting too expensive to the point where you may as well just SBR 10/22 instead and have the stock?

you could get a non-Ruger made 80% reciever and build one yourself. i had the same idea a little while back, would be a cool little gun.

80%- what  needs to be done to the receiver?

80% usually means that its unfinished and probably needs holes drilled.

brownells or site dealers over at rimfirecental.com sell stripped recievers and just have your dealer file it as a "stripped reciever" and build your pistol

Not sure about that color scheme but other than that looks cool :) What was the approximate cost?

Just SBR the gun.  I've shot mine with the stock folded in.  It does not balance very well as a pistol.  It is terribly muzzle heavy.

When you tire of blasting away with your 10/22 pistol, its nice to be able to fold out the stock and actually hit something.
