Is there enough recoil with a 10/22 to bump fire it?

I can get a couple doubles out of mine, but that is about as far as I've gotten so far. I think I am going to try lighten the gun up more (lighter stock, turn barrel down a bit, etc....) when I get more motivation that is.

I have a VQ carbon 16in barrel, lightened plastic stock, VQ target hammer, extractor and a bolt buffer.  I also have a 4.5x14x40 scope on it.  Total with the scope is right under 4.5lbs.  I can bumpfire a whole 25rd BC magazine fairly easy.  Most of the time I'm in 5-10 round bursts with a second pause because my finger/thumb moved, then bump off the rest of them.

Cool....I may have to fire up that project again. My biggest trouble was getting the trigger to reset again....I assume a lighter overall gun will help. I have a Volquertsen (sp?) hammer/sear package so I have about a 3# trigger.

It is the black plastic stock that came with the gun.  The gun was actually the stainless steel barrel/receiver model with the black synthetic stock.

It looked like this before (not my gun but exactly the same)

I cut down the forend and shaped it with bondo.  The barrel does not touch any of the forend of the gun, but there is still plenty of room to hold on to up front.  I also used bondo to smooth over the rough checkered handgrips behind the receiver.

Tenesee Precision arms makes a target trigger with a set screw. The trigger looks awesome and feels very nice. Since there is no over travel it allows the trigger to reset easier and alot of fun to bump. I can dump a full 30 round eagle mag non stop, takes about 4 seconds to do.

There I am bumping a mag. You can see some brass in the air. Since the pic is on geocities i cant make it show up, you need to copy and paste into your browser.

Haven't tried a 10/22, but my MKII with pretravel setscrew and VQ sear bumps quite well!

As an alternative there are the old BMF Activator mini cranks for the 10/22, four shots per revolution I think.

Oh, yeah.  I have twin 10/22's with MG42 stock sets mounted on a tripod with linked BMF Activators.  Approximate cyclic rate of 1050RPM.  It can empty two 25 round mags in under 3 seconds.

Here they are before I added the cranks:
